Carla has over 15 years of experience in Human Resources. She has worked for Lacks Enterprises for 8 years in a leadership role, Dennen Steel for 3 years as the Director of Human Resources and Shape Corporation for 4 years in several HR functions. Carla has a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in Biology, with a minor in Education. She also received her teaching degree from MSU. Carla was born and raised in West Michigan and has raised her three kids in the community. She enjoys connecting with partners, colleagues and businesses in the area and collaborating to create new opportunities for all.
Carla lives in Spring Lake and enjoys sailing, boating, hiking and skiing. If you can’t find her, she might be digging out in her garden as she has a great passion for gardening and growing her own food.
