- Tailor your answer. Mention specific accomplishments or experience that line up with the position you are interviewing for. If the job is in the medical field, talk about things you learned or excelled at in a previous position in that industry.
- Acknowledge resume gaps. Be open about any large gaps in employment history. Be brief, direct, and positive in your explanation.
