Join us for our next session!

Our next edition of our Workforce Together Lunch and Learn series on Tuesday, April 14 from 12 – 1 p.m. at our Grand Rapids NW Service Center.

Join West Michigan Works! to explore how removing childcare as a barrier for potential and current employees can make a meaningful impact on recruitment, retention and overall workplace stability. Panelists will highlight how local businesses are creating solutions that support both employees and business needs.

Panelists include:

Schreiber Foods, whose Child Care Assistance Program supports eligible partners by covering 50% of qualifying childcare expenses each month—helping ensure families can access quality care while reducing financial strain.

Outdoor Discovery Center, who helped Gentex Corporation launch a nature-based preschool for employees’ families—a creative response to ongoing childcare challenges in the Zeeland area and a powerful example of employer-led innovation.

Wolverine Coil Spring, whose participation in the MI Tri-Share program, a cost-sharing model that splits childcare expenses between the employer, the employee, and the State of Michigan, makes quality child care more affordable and accessible for working families.

This one-hour, no-cost event is designed specifically for employers seeking real-world strategies to create a more family-friendly workplace. Lunch will be provided, along with valuable insights and peer discussion.
