MiCareerQuest: Not Your Father’s Career Fair

Are you an employer in one of our region’s high demand industries?

Do you want to help shape the future of West Michigan’s workforce to meet your growing talent needs?

Join us at MiCareerQuest!

MiCareerQuest is a fun, interactive event where employers can engage their future workforce through hands-on exhibits that demonstrate the skills used in their trade. On May 13, 2020, MiCarereQuest will host 7,500 students at DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids where they can connect with employers from advanced manufacturing, construction, health sciences and information technology.

Why an interactive career fair?

  • Get students excited about in-demand careers,
  • help them understand they can get a great job with or without a four-year degree and
  • let them know about the many opportunities that exist here in West Michigan.

“I love participating in MiCareerQuest every year! I think it is incredibly useful for students to speak with people working in a position they are thinking of pursuing.” – Prior MiCareerQuest Exhibitor

In previous years employers have provided opportunities for students to play virtual reality games, control robotic arms, weld and practice drawing blood on synthetic arms. Employer representatives also discuss their own personal career pathway, sharing things like schooling, training and certification/licensing requirements for their occupation.
