What else does West Michigan Works! do?

Job search: West Michigan employers are hiring, and we know what jobs they need to fill! Find out if you quality for specialized job search assistance. And, use our computers to job search.

Career exploration: Discover what careers fit with your skills and interests. Take a Career Exploration workshop. Talk with a Career Coach who can help you navigate your career options.

Workshops: There are more than 25 free workshops offered each week in our service centers. Topics include: career exploration, resumes, cover letter writing, computers and interviewing.

Training: Short-term training is available for many in-demand careers; check out the HOT JOBS list to see which jobs are available for training scholarships. Find out if you qualify by talking to a staff member.

Apprenticeships: Combine on-the-job training with technical education to get the skills employers need – all while earning a paycheck. Available apprenticeships include medical assistant and construction.

Veteran: Veterans and their spouses qualify for priority of service which is intensive, individualized employment services. Let service center staff know you’re a veteran when you visit. Attend a veteran-only networking event which connects you to employers ready to hire! See the schedule>

Youth: Are you 14-24? We can help you finish your high school diploma or GED and connect to work opportunities.

Hiring events: Employers come to our service centers to hold hiring events. Meet with them one-on-one to hear about their open positions. You might even get interviewed on the spot! See all the hiring events>
